Brussels, BE 📍🇧🇪
My trip to Brussels, BE, stands out as the best group adventure I had while studying abroad. I stayed with a lively crew—Halle, Sarah, Jordan, Ben, Arden, and Amina—and we soaked up everything the city had to offer. Later, I caught up with more friends—Katie, Lolita, and Jeremy—as we explored the city together. The food in Brussels was phenomenal, from indulgent waffles and fries to memorable evenings at the Delirium Beer Garden. The nightlife was just as thrilling, perfectly capturing the city's vibrant spirit. This trip was special not just for the sights and flavors, but because it deepened my relationships with friends. A fun anecdote from the journey: I nearly missed my flight from Barcelona due to an oversleep mishap, sparking a bet between Jordan and Ben. I was the last one to board, making it just in time, thanks to Jordan rooting for me! This trip was a perfect blend of excitement, friendship, and unforgettable moments.
Brugge, BE 📍🇧🇪
My day trip to Brugge from Brussels was a delightful escape into a storybook setting. The city's center was a maze of charming, historical streets where my friends and I heel-clicked our way through, soaking up the enchanting atmosphere. Brugge felt like a step back in time with its beautifully preserved medieval architecture and tranquil river that meandered through the town. We indulged in some of the best waffles I've ever tasted. Walking by the river, we were captivated by the picturesque views at every turn, from quaint bridges to stunningly ornate buildings. The entire day was filled with laughter, discovery, and the kind of easy camaraderie that only comes with great friends in an even greater setting. Brugge wasn’t just a highlight of my travels; it was a reminder of the joy found in exploring new places with old friends.
Antwerp, BE 📍🇧🇪
During a whirlwind 7-hour bus ride from Amsterdam to Paris, I had the opportunity for a brief 1-hour layover in Antwerp. Despite the short duration, my friends Grace, Lily, and I made the most of it by quickly exploring the city center. We indulged in some fantastic food that left us craving more. Even in such a short visit, the architecture of Antwerp made a lasting impression, and the warmth of the people we met only added to the experience. While I didn't get to explore as much as I wanted, the glimpse I got was enough to make me want to give Antwerp a proper chance in the future.
